Coupon for your Community, Give Back: May 8th - May 14th

Couponing for Community is a nationwide effort by couponers like you to give to a homeless shelter, food pantry, or a friend in need during the week of May 8-14, 2011! May 14 is also National Stamp Out Hunger Day, so giving is as easy as leaving a bag of canned or non-perishable items by your mailbox.
A goal has been set to donate 10,000 items in one week’s time. Track your giving during the week of May 8-14 and then share your story on the Couponing for Community Facebook page. Everyone’s efforts will be tracked with a giving tally, so it’s easy to check our progress!
Here are the steps on how to get involved in this amazing “Pay It Forward” effort:

1- Click the “Like” button at the Couponing for Community Facebook page! This will help keep you up to date on the details of the upcoming event and give you a place to connect with everyone that will be participating.

2- Start to set aside items that you can donate during the week of May 8-14. Feel free to post your efforts or You can even take a picture to upload on the Couponing for Community Facebook page.

3- If you are a blogger and would like to participate, write up a post about Couponing for Community and then submit the direct link to your post on the ‘Join In’ tab on the Couponing for Community Facebook page. That way, word will spread fast and so many can get involved!

This is a great way to Pay it Forward and show the power of coupons in a positive way!
